Never change being you!!



This post might be not relevant and out of season, however I would love to acknowledge Mae Ling as my dearest friend and one of the first people who really excited with the Flying Feather Project.

 

Mae Ling is the sexiest and sweetest girl I ever met. I met her in Madrid on one of the occasion and my first impression was "dam she is so beautiful". After I knew her more, I found out that she is not only pretty from outside but also from inside. Her sexiness and sex appeal lots of the time mislead people in judgment. In fact she is the most idealists, pure and innocent modern women I knew still exist in this planet. I was amazed and learned a lot from her idealistic views mostly about love. Some people might think it is irrelevant this days and outdated or too naïve. However, I feel that she really bring a positive energy with it.

 

At the end I was so happy to be able to style her and had a really fun photo shoot session with her, Laurence and Ayla. She was very confidence with any clothes I gave her. She understands her body and she could work it out so well. Every single shoot reflected her beauty and confidence. Never change being you!!

My sweetest Texas cowgirl

What Mae Ling say about her session:

"I’m Mae Ling and I’m from Texas, U.S.A. I’m a nutrition major (dietetics track) at Texas State University and I’m hoping to become a registered dietitian one day! I love playing sports and exercising, so you’ll usually see in me in a tank top, athletic shorts, and running shoes. However, when I have time, my sense of style is quite girly. I’m a big fan of bodycon dresses, high waist skirts and belts, flirty tops, stilettos, and who could forget my cowgirl boots!

I had such an amazing time working with Ita, Laurence, and Ayla who are all close friends of mine! Ita is one of a kind and is such a beautiful person on the inside and out. Her personality lights up any room that she walks into and her sense of style is superb! I really loved how she was able to spice up my wardrobe by incorporating just a few new pieces. I think one of the reasons why she is such a great stylist and friend is because of her gift of being a good listener. Before she went to pick out pieces for me, Ita thoroughly examined my wardrobe and listened to me explain my sense of style. She understood what kind of clothes I liked and didn’t like, and didn’t try to completely change my look. She picked out pieces that fit my style, but her choices were a bit edgier & flattered my body more. My favorite outfit was the black and white bustier she paired with my white polka-dot navy blue pleated skirt and vintage double-strap leather belt. I would have never thought to pair together such contrasting prints, but I loved the finished look! The lovely and talented photographers, Laurence and Ayla, are some of my best friends and I had so much fun working with them too! Even though we joked around a lot throughout the photo shoot, they were very professional and produced such beautiful work! I want to give a big thank you to all three of you gorgeous ladies for this memorable experience!"

"Hi people, I’m Maria Mileusnic, living in Belgrade and currently studing acting and doing many courses of foreign languages. Madrid is the city where I will come to study management and marketing. This year I spent 2 weeks there and I was fascinated with the people and this city full of energy. My hobbies are reading magazines, writing, photographing, dancing, and most of all I like journalism, travelling, discovering new places and meeting people from all over the world. My daily outfit is casual, mixed with some vintage details that I adore. When it comes to shoes... I love them; heels, flats in every color. And of course bags which I match with nail-lacquers that I change daily and love them to be in intensive colours. I really enjoyed doing this photos with Yoanita and Xiao. She knows what she wants!!

Maria Mileusnić is only16 years old, from Serbia. However she really knows what she wants and very bold. Her persistency and boldness really melted me down. She is a very brave and independent young girl. In her young age she already dared to travel alone to Madrid to learn Spanish. She actually didn't need me to style her because she already had a good sense of  fashion. She knows what to wear and what is good for her body. Her taste of fashion is very sophisticated. She likes to combine middle retail brands and high end brands. This time I just needed to go through her wardrobe to get her the best teenage style with a little bit grown up touch. At the end I was glad to have a session with her. She was really great in front of camera and she really knew her angle so well. She looked stunning!!

The girl next door

Stephanie is exactly as what people called 'a girl next door'. She is not only beautiful with all the great features, blond hair, great body and beautiful leg, but also she has a really nice personality. I would say it is very rare for both combinations. Beautiful girl most likely identic with arrogant and proud, unlike her. I only met her one day before the photo shoot and the photo shoot itself, but it seemed like we have known each other forever. She is very friendly, accessible, want to know people and mingle with everyone around her. She really wanted to have the photo shoot with me and the team. So in one night we managed to arrange everything for the next day and had a wonderful photo shoot with her. She was so enthusiastic and excited about the shoot. It was really a joy to style and to work with her. She really brought herself into the professional level in her attitude and personality. As all can see that the camera love her and the pictures speak her beauty.

"I'm Stephanie living in the city The Hague in The Netherlands. Currently I'm working at a law firm and in October I will travel to South America for a few months. My hobbies are traveling, photography and meeting new people around the world. My daily outfit is quite basic: mostly I wear a top with blazer and pumps to work. In the weekends I love to wear shorts, flip-flops and blouses. The photo shoot in Madrid was amazing! Great stylist with a good sense of fashion and the guts to try different things. Also I had the pleasure to be accompanied by a photographer with great vision. Absolutely a great team!"

Girly and Fierce Sorority Girl

Girly and Fierce!!! That is my first impression when I met Haley Rudolph, 19 years old sorority girl from Ontario, Canada. She is a media and business student at the University Western Ontario. She has a free spirit, positive energy and just loves to live. She is not only obsessed with beauty related; make-up and hair, but also she is very good at it. She love to dress up and to wear chic-feminine outfits. Dresses, high heels, jewelry are all in her list.

At first I thought it would a challenge to style her but she really made it so easy. Without my direction, she actually dressed so well, I even secretly learned from how she clothed. What I love about her is that she is so confidence, fierce and she really understands her body so well.  It was really great to know her and had a change to style her. She definitely one of the most fierce girls I ever met. Work it girl!!

Pocahontas - Urban Vintage

Nivin or as her friends call her 'Pocahontas', is a mixed blood of Switzerland and Indonesian parents. She is a modern rendition of Pocahontas, not only because her features, including long hair, big pretty eyes and tanned skin, but also her love for wear vintage clothes and native inspired styles.

It was a great pleasure to style her as well as to photograph her as I, myself love vintage. I spent my adolescence period in USA and one thing that I pick up from there and fell in love with is vintage. Besides purchasing at local vintage stores, one of my favorite brand for vintage styles is "Urban Outfitter". And now as I live in UK, I can also find vintage-inspired clothes at "Topshop" flagship store.

My favorite time with her was in the photo session, she is not only photogenic but also she moved her body so well in front of the camera.
